This one was definitely out of my comfort zone from the start. This is a dark romance that I think takes an open minded reader to enjoy. The writing is well done and up until the end was thorough. (I just thought the last couple chapters went too quickly and left me with a lot of questions. I think this easily could have been a made into a second book and developed further).
This book is intriguing to see a different mindset and how Zoey handles each situation and eventually taking a new perspective. That being said, this book does have a lot of sensitive material.

Four Years Later by Emma Doherty My rating: 5 of 5 stars I didn't realize how many times my heart could break when reading a book until I read this one. I felt Becca's pain throughout and although I wished I could have pushed her in a different direction, her path was an accurate depiction of what someone in her shoes would face. Becca and Ryan couldn't be more in love. She may not know what future she wanted exactly, but she knew that as long as she had Ryan, everything would be okay. Going to school in different states may have caused some tension, but they've survived this long doing the long distance thing, a little longer would fly by.
