Review: Heart & Soul
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
It took me a couple hours after purchasing this book to start. I knew from the description that this book was going to break my heart and I just couldn't handle it yet after all the happiness that ended in the fourth book and the possibility that maybe one of the books in the series had a possibility of a sad ending.
This book was different from all the others in the series for me. Rather than having constant highs and lows, where the lows were propelled up with happiness, the constant stress and hardship and worry that Jesse felt was a tornado of down. They both worry so much about each other being okay that you just wish they would overcome it from the beginning. Although not everyone feels the same based on the reviews I had seen before starting, I appreciated the stepping back to when Rowen and Jessie found out about the pregnancy. When I read it in the 4th book, I felt a little robbed of that joy and story. I would have loved to read more in between to the fast forward but I was more than happy with the ending result.
I haven't finished one of Nicole Williams books this satisfied before (and I've loved all of the books I've read so far)... I'm glad I went though all the ups and downs from all of the books to get to this point!
I just have to gush about some things though ...
